The Information Access Unit – Health Information Service, Finance and Infrastructure Services team are seeking a Senior Release of Information Officer to join them. The Information Access Unit co-ordinates the provision of decision making and administrative services and advice regarding Right to Information and Information Privacy and court-ordered and other legislated access mechanisms relating to release of confidential information across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will be responsible for providing high level support to facilitate service delivery within all streams of the Information Access Unit. The Senior Release of Information Officer is the delegated back-up decision maker under the Right to Information Act 2009 (the RTI Act) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (the IP Act).
